Overlord Attack

Overlords are the first step in the “Boss” challenge program for Warlord. The Overlords have been designed to be a store level challenge for players who are playing and purchasing cards at their favorite local game store. Overlords are designed to be played by players or volunteers at a store and are a prize for anyone able to defeat the them.

AEG has decided in order to assure that these cards are going to stores that we know are both supporting the game that upcoming Overlords Edric D’ilchant and Qor-Teth (3 versions) will be distributed with the pre-release packages for the upcoming Isle of Light & Shadow set. While this will not ultimately be the only way to get Overlords in your store it will be the guaranteed way to get them into your store first and at the time of release of a new set.

The best gauge we have for the size of a player community around a store is our pre-release program. This is part of AEG’s renewed commitment to encourage players to support their local game store.

Overlord packages will be distributed with each pre-release kit and will include instructions for the retailer and player on how to get the most out of the event.

Special Note for Game Clubs- We do understand that some game clubs have formed in areas where a there are no stores. You can contact AEG at events@alderac.com to give us information about your game club and we will either provide you with a local store that is eligible for the program or we will put you in contact with your local distributor who will be better able to determine if you have stores that you can easily reach or if they can provide you with pre-release kits.

Please let your local retailer now that pre-release kits for Light and Shadow go on sale July 23.

Edric D’Ilchant: The lord of Lorath has come to both destroy all those who oppose him, and to join the ranks himself as a Warlord of the Accordlands. Edric is the first Overlord who is ALSO a Warlord. Defeating him, and his trusty steed Embersmane, will net you glory as well as the ability to have him at the helm of your army. Edric was designed as a challenge for Battlepack Tournaments (Sealed, ready to play mini-decks).
